Pride of Business Premises Awards

Awards aims to recognise pride in County Kildare’s Towns Business Premises

Kildare County Council’s Economic Unit Forum is delighted to announce the launch of its first project, the ‘Pride of Business Premises Awards’. The competition aims to recognise local property owners who maintain a high level of visual appearance to their premises.

The ‘Pride of Business Premises Awards’, acknowledging excellence in shopfront premises presentation, will become an annual competition and is open to all businesses and shops in towns across the five Municipal Districts in County Kildare.

The inaugural competition will be adjudicated by three independent judges. Judging will take place in early September 2019, where five winners and five runner ups will be selected from across the five Municipal Districts in County Kildare. The Awards Ceremony will take place in October 2019.

Speaking about the imitative, Jacqui Mc Nabb Head of Enterprise, Kildare County Council said “We are delighted to be able to present this in the first of a series of projects during 2019.” Jacqui continued to say, “We want to instil an increased sense of pride in our towns and encourage both business owners and locals to view our towns as places worth promoting and visiting.”

Shopfronts and window displays will be judged on the following six categories:

  • Clean & well presented
  • Design consideration of signage
  • Well presented window display
  • Entrance & Accessibility
  • Over & above
  • Public Domain

 

The closing date for applications is Friday 30th September 2019

Applicants must complete an Expression of Interest Form
